New York

  • We stayed at the Cloud One in FIDI.

The Financial District is mostly dominated by office buildings, but it is very well connected to the New York subway system. In just 5 walking-minutes, you can reach Battery Park, where you can enjoy a nice stroll with views of New Jersey and the Statue of Liberty. The hotel is very clean, with spacious rooms and a hassle-free experience. However, if you want to be in the heart of the nightlife, you should consider staying in Soho, Lower Manhattan, or Greenwich Village.

We suggest: For all dinner recommendations one should always book a table one week in advance.

  • Our favorite districts in New York

Lower East Side, Soho, Greenwich Village, West Village

    Our favorite parks

Jefferson Market Garden, Washington Square Garden, Central Park, Fort Green Park, Highline

  • MoMa, MET, the Guggenheim, Hannah Traore Gallery

  • We prefer walking as much as possible, however the subay system works super well and we used it often.

  • Play it as it lays by Joan Didion

Even though the book is set in Los Angeles rather than New York, it conveys a sense of city life, the fast pace, the effort, and the excitement that comes with such a lifestyle.
